The Pendleton Criteria

Peter Pendleton & Associates and the ODPM (or the Scottish Executive)have clarified the criteria definitions to be used in the next survey. The clarifications are in response to feed back from planning authorities, to introduce benchmark dates and clearer requirements.

In response to feedback from that National Park Authorities in England and Wales they will be tested against a revised 24 Criteria, to reflect their range of responsibilities.

Unitary development plans, structure plans and local plans are still relevant and will still be accounted for in parallel to their replacements.
