Environmental Health & Licensing, Building Control and Trading Standards

In 2004 PPA undertook a survey of the environmental health & licensing, trading standards and Building control websites of local authorities in England. The results were published by Planning and Regulatory Services Online (PARSOL).

The web-based survey was carried out to review the availability and accessibility of online environmental health & licensing, trading standards and Building control information and services on local authority websites. The survey was carried out from the perspective of the web-user and aimed to assess the needs of both regular and potential one-off users.

Each local authority service was tested against a different set of criteria designed to reflect their different roles and responsibilities. The Criteria can be viewed on this website by clicking 'Here'.
